About the Artist :: Barbara B. Bellows
Barbara Bellows studied art at the Lyme Art Academy in Old Lyme, CT, Plymouth State College in Plymouth, NH and Lebanon College in Lebanon, NH and at artists workshops. She has exhibited her work in galleries and numerous solo shows since 1983. Her paintings can be found in collections in the United States, Canada, Europe and Central America.
Barbara has been teaching art at Lebanon College in Lebanon, NH since 1996 and just recently gave up being the head of the Arts Department to allow her more time for painting. She also gives lessons to children and adults in her own studio.
She lives with her husband in the little picturesque village of Orford, NH, has two married, grown daughters, and travels frequently- painting and taking photographs along the way. She and her husband have been innkeepers, have renovated 8 houses, and lived and traveled aboard a 40-foot sailboat for 15 months.
